Samsung Electronics lit up the already extravagant scenes around the Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix circuit with its latest display innovations through a partnership with Liberty Media and Las Vegas Grand Prix (LVGP).
The cinematic displays were designed to enhance the viewing experience for fans at the track and watching worldwide when the lights went out for the inaugural Las Vegas Grand Prix on November 18, 2023.
Show-stopping elements included a massive 10mm pitch LED display forming the F1 logo atop the 1,000-foot long pit building. The 28,166 square foot sign used over 22 million pixels to shine brightly above The Strip. Inside, a 1,480 square foot, 3.9mm pitch LED display created a dynamic backdrop for the main entry escalator. The ultra-bright, high-contrast screen’s 9+ million pixels displayed stunning graphics and content.
Three state-of-the-art 8mm LED video boards, each over 900 square feet, ensured great views of the action for grandstand ticket holders. Samsung claims the latest HDR10+ and 8,000 nit technologies guaranteed vivid, flawless imagery even in daylight. In total, the Liberty Media and LVGP displays feature over 33 million pixels across 32,000+ square feet of advanced Samsung LEDs.
