At NAB, JVC presented a new range of DT-N studio monitors, each supporting input resolutions up to 2048 x 1080.
The 17.3″ DT-N17F, 21.5″ DT-N21F and 23.8″ DT-N24F all feature waveform, vector scope and histogram functions, as well as zebra stripe and peaking focus assist. They have dual DC power inputs. The DT-N17F is supplied with a 19″ rack mount, which is optional for the DT-N21F.
Each monitor has 1920 x 1080 display resolution. They feature SDI (x2), HDMI, CVBS, component and VGA inputs, with HDMI, CVBS loop and SDI loop outputs.
Although all three are based on IPS technology, the two larger units use a variant known as FFS (fringe-field switching). The DT-N17F has 160° viewing angles, a 600:1 contrast ratio and 300 cd/m² of brightness. The DT-N21F and DT-N24F have 178° viewing angles, a 1,000:1 contrast ratio and 250 cd/m² of brightness.
JVC is selling the monitors now. Price is on application.
