The UK’s Royal National Institute of Blind People has presented Samsung Electronics with an Inclusive Society Award; this recognises the firm’s work in making its smart TVs accessible for blind and partially-sighted people. The RNIB worked with Samsung on the development of its smart TVs, which have text-to-speech and zoom functionality, as well as a high contrast UI, as standard features.
