Epson Takes South Bank Far, Far Away

Seeper, a London-based firm, has been taken on by Merlin and Dreamworks to create a series of experiences for a new Shrek attraction on London’s South Bank. The whole experience takes 90 minutes and involves a mixture of actors, 4D effects and projected environments, using Epson projectors. Mapping is utilised throughout the venue, such as a moment when Shrek’s head appears to be floating inside a crystal ball. Epson’s projectors were chosen due to their high brightness and blending, lens shift and geometric correction abilities. Nine EB-G6900WU and two EB-Z10005U projectors are used, along with G Series ELPLU01 lenses and one Z Series ELPLU02 lens.
