DJI Unveils Goggles Integra with HD 1080p MicroOLED Screens for Immersive Drone Flying

The gist of it: you can’t ignore headsets in the drone industry. The pricing and margins are pretty good, as well as there being a very well-established distribution and retail channel. Consumer drone shipments are about 10 million units a year, and that’s kind of a median of a range of projections. Commercial drones may exceed that number significantly over time. Technically it isn’t controversial enough to warrant reams and reams of discussion, like for AR and VR, but that’s a plus in my book: a headset everyone can settle for.

DJI has introduced the Goggles Integra and RC Motion 2, designed to enhance its Avata drone flying experience. The Goggles Integra features an integrated design, advanced MicroOLED screens, and DJI O3+ video transmission for an immersive experience. The RC Motion 2 offers improved ergonomics and features for better flight control.

Key points for Goggles Integra include a lightweight built-in battery headband with a two-hour operating time, HD 1080p MicroOLED screens with 700 nits brightness, a 100 Hz refresh rate, TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light Certification, 30 ms latency, and built-in GPS.

RC Motion 2 highlights include motion-sensing technology with an upgraded joystick, support for multidirectional flight, and an Fn dial for quick camera adjustments.
