Production at the P10 plant, which will cover 382m x 265m, is scheduled to begin production in the first half of 2018. Main output will be both large-sized OLED TV panels and flexible OLED panels for smartwatches and automotive displays.
LG Display will invest KRW1.84 trillion ($1.6 billion) in the construction of the fab building, but total investment is expected to exceed KRW10 trillion ($8.7 billion).
According to LGD, the fab building is expected to produce OLEDs ‘in every product segment’, both existing types and future transparent and flexible units.
