TriLite’s Trixel 3 Projection Display Wins 2023 Prism Award

Peter Weigand, CEO at TriLite, said: “We’re delighted to be honored by SPIE, with this recognition of Trixel 3 as a breakthrough innovation for AR displays. Our latest product evolution, Trixel 3, sets a new standard in super small projection displays, and it is a revolutionary step forward in terms of size, weight, image quality, optical compatibility, power consumption and reliability.”

It was about this time last year, that TriLite was demoing the Trixel at SPIE Photonics. The Trixel 3 uses TriLite’s proprietary laser beam scanner (LBS), a single 2D MEMS mirror, a proprietary TriLite calibration module (TCM) that shifts light module complexity from hardware to software. The LBS module weighs less than 1.5g, has a volume of less than 1cm3, consumes about 420 mW, and a pretty good field of view and color gamut, . So, it isn’t just a you-had-good-show participation medal (that does happen at some trade shows, you know it does). In addition, protecting its technology, TriLite has a pretty strong patent portfolio to go with a solid product.
