Vivitek’s DH758USTiR is a specially-developed DLP projector for education. It is a UST model and features interactivity, using IR pens. Finger touch is supported through use of the DT01 laser curtain module. Vivitek’s Novoconnect collaboration tool enables teachers to display work from up to four students’ mobile devices using the projector.
Resolution is 1920 x 1080, with 3,500 lumens of brightness (lamp life is 3,000 and 7,000 hours) and a 10,000:1 contrast ratio. Images can be sized between 88″ and 110″, with a projection distance of 0.66 – 0.83m (0.33:1 throw ratio).
+/-40° vertical keystone correction and 124% offset are built in. The DH758USTiR features HDMI, VGA, S-VIdeo, composite, USB-A, USB-B, mini USB-B, RJ45 and RS232 ports, as well as 20W speakers.
Measuring 288 x 375 x 127mm, the unit weighs 5kg. It is available now, for £1,040 ($1,600).
