UK-based SmartKem, a supplier of semiconductor materials for flexible displays and electronics, has opened a facility in Manchester, UK. The facility will be used for TFT fabrication and testing.
Product development agreements will be supported by the expansion. Additionally, SmartKem’s partners will be able to develop market-driven, flexible TFT-based products more quickly. Turn-key support for SmartKem’s tru-FLEX technology platform will be offered.
As well as TFT device modelling, the facility offers device stack design and a TFT fabrication suite. A test suite is also available for device and circuit characterisation.
