In partnership with HP, luxury American designer Michael Bastian has created a smartwatch that is understated but also feature-light – very different to the bright, chunky offerings from Samsung and LG. The MB Chronowing features a monochrome LCD display (no touch) and will work with both iOS and Android phones. Its main application is displaying notifications, alerting a wearer with a gentle vibration. There are no apps and no fitness trackers, but the watch can show stock prices, weather and other information. Battery life is estimated at seven days. The Chronowing is available now, starting at $350.
