Adoptions of smart glasses will be hampered by privacy concerns, Juniper Research has concluded in a new report. Prolonged time-to-market periods and a lack of key use cases has resulted in low adoption. Juniper believes that shipments will not exceed 10 million per annum until 2018. Sales by ‘key players’, including Samsung, Recon and Microsoft’s Osterhout, will slightly support sales in 2015 and 2016. However, consumers’ worries about privacy and safety will need to be addressed before smart glasses are widely accepted. Access the report for free at http://tinyurl.com/qzjtnzl.
