3M reported Q2 net profits of $1.30 billion, up from $1.28 billion a year ago, on revenue which fell 5.5% to $7.69 billion from $8.13 billion. For the half year there were profits of $2.5 billion, little changed from last year, on turnover which slipped to $15.26 billion from $15.97 billion. The company said that it saw growth in all geographic areas.
