IEE of Van Nuys, California, said that its 25.5″ 1920 x 1200 rugged LCD monitor has been approved and qualified to MIL-STD 810G, and has started production. The monitor was developed with BAE Systems for a US Air Force Airborne Platform and has a range of different touch options.
Brightness is 350 cd/m², contrast is 1500:1 and the monitor can be dimmed with a 250:1 ratio. Input is via dual, switchable DVI digital inputs via a special military-grade circular connector. Power consumption is 45W, MTBF is 40,000 hours and the monitor has an operating temperature of -20°C to +70°C.
IEE has options including higher brightness (from 600 cd/m² to 800 cd/m²) and NVIS goggle compatible bezel and display backlighting. Touch options include surface capacitive (SCAP), projected capacitive (PCAP), infrared (IR) and resistive.
The monitor is now in mass production.
