What They Say
MacWorld has created a round-up of reviews of the iPad Pro which has a ‘Liquid Retina XDR Display’.
- The Verge said “the best thing for watching movies that isn’t a high-end television”
- MacStories said “the best display I’ve ever seen in a portable computer”.
- CNBC said that the display “looked brighter outside in direct sunlight than my 2018 11-inch iPad Pro,”
- Ars Technica said “the difference in contrast and black levels (between the new iPad Pro’s display and the old one) is, no pun intended, night and day”.
However, some reviewers pointed out that some software still doesn’t support the M1 processor.
What We Think
I recently contacted my friend Ray Soneira to see if he had seen the iPad Pro yet, but it seems he hasn’t seen one yet and is very busy with OLEDs, anyway. That’s a shame as I know he’d come up with some interesting comments.
At SID’s Display Week, Ross Young said that he had planned to look at the display, but there is a two month lead time! (BR)
