ZTE Redefines the Smart Projector with Arrival of Spro 2 at AT&T on April 24th

ZTE USA, the fourth largest smartphone manufacturer in the U.S. and second largest in the no-contract market, today announced alongside AT&T the first commercial availability of the 2-in-1 ZTE Spro 2 Smart Projector with mobile hotspot features.

Following its reveal at the 2015 Consumer Electronics Show and receiving a series of industry awards, customers can purchase the ZTE Spro 2 beginning April 24th online at www.att.com/spro2 and in select AT&T retail stores nationwide. The Spro 2 can be added to a new or existing AT&T Mobile Share Value plan for just $10 per month, $399.99 with a two-year agreement or $499 with no annual commitment.

The ZTE Spro 2 is a portable Smart Projector that also includes mobile hotspot features and a built-in 5-inch Android™ touchscreen. This is the only smart projector that provides web access directly from the unit and has the ability to securely connect up to 10 independent Wi-Fi devices at once.

With a built in battery there is no need for power cords, making it easy to move the projector from the conference room to the living room or the great outdoors. Projecting documents, presentations, and movies stored in the cloud, on USB sticks, Micro SD cards or on other mobile devices has never been easier. Mobile gaming takes on a new meaning thanks to HDMI inputs that work with popular game consoles.

“The ZTE Spro 2 Smart Projector is a prime example of our capabilities to deliver innovative products that improve life both at work and at home,” said Lixin Cheng, chairman and CEO of ZTE USA. “In less than three minutes, with one device and no cords, consumers can stream a movie or presentation from the cloud and establish a Wi-Fi connection for up to 10 devices. Thanks to our highly-valued collaboration with AT&T, it’s innovation that will make it to market.”

“We’re thrilled to be the first to offer the ZTE Spro 2 in the U.S. You can use this smart projector virtually anywhere, in almost any situation,” said Jeff Bradley, senior vice president, Device Marketing and Developer Services, AT&T Mobility. “ZTE’s second generation smart projector offers a brighter and much easier-to-use interface. It runs on the network with the nation’s strongest 4G LTE signal, so you can rely on the Spro 2 while giving a presentation to a client or watching the latest movie without depending on a PC or Wi-Fi network.”
