Sharp Europe have named their new CEO, former Sony manager and consultant for LG and Rakuten, Yoshihisa Ishida.
Affectionately known as “Bob”, Ishida previously worked as an outside director for the Sharp Corporation from June 2016 to June 2017, before joining the company as Executive Vice President and head of its newly-founded AIoT Business Strategy Office, who are developing a range of artificial intelligence products.
Ishida replaces Tetsuji Kawamura, who will take up a new role at Sharp’s USA headquarters.
