YDreams and HTC VIVE Showcase First Fully Wireless Free-roam, Room Scale Multi-use VR Experience at IAAPA

YDreams Global Technologies Inc. a leading designer and developer of augmented and virtual reality experiences, announced that ithas integrated HTC’s VIVE Pro, the industry’s premium virtual reality (VR) headset and the VIVE Wireless Adaptor, into its Arkave VR platform at the Pointe Orlando Mall in Orlando, Florida during the IAAPA Convention.

The integration of VIVE’s Wireless Adaptor enables users of the Arkave VR platform to move around a 4 X 7 metre entertainment “arena” without being tethered to a PC or VR backpack. This marks the first ever free-roam with full body tracking experience without the use of VR backpacks. This represents a significant competitive advantage for the Company and was only possible due to the support from HTC VIVE and Intel.

“The entertainment value for VR users is significantly increased when they have greater range of motion, and are not tethered to a PC, and Arkave VR has conducted several successful pilots of in the past few months, and we are now ready for a nationwide US roll-out of what we see as the most entertaining VR experience for multiple users,” said Daniel Japiassu, CEO of YDreams Global. “With HTC VIVE Pro, we can deliver a much more entertaining experience for VR consumers and bring the full promise of immersive entertainment.”

The Arkave VR platform includes a modular set-up of HTC’s VIVE Pro headsets, an Intel-based arena server, and Lighthouse sensors and on-site support for a variety of 3-person experiences.

The YDreams Global game ‘The Last Squad,’ a wave-based alien shooter, will be experienced using the Arkave VR platform. YDreams will also demonstrate Arkave VR at the Studio 41 Booth #4452 at the IAAPA Convention, from November 13-16 and will set up special appointments at Pointe Orlando Mall for industry professionals.
