Xiaomi has launched the Mi TV 4 in India, claimed to be the world’s thinnest LED TV, at 4.9mm thick. The 55″ Ultra HD TV supports HDR, Dolby Surround Sound and DTS Cinema Audio.
The TV runs PatchWall OS, which uses AI technology and is claimed to feature 500,000 hours of content in several languages, and provides support for major DTH carriers and local cable networks out of the box. Mi TV 4 launches on February 22nd and retails from Rs 39,999 ($625).
Analyst Comment
This thickness means that the set is, presumably, using a glass LGP – Innolux was showing a set at CES, although we didn’t get to the firm’s suite, so can’t confirm that it is this one. (BR).
