Worldwide Semiconductor Sales See 21% YoY Rise in April

Worldwide semiconductor sales were up 21% YoY to $31.3 billion, according to the Semiconductor Industry Association, using WSTS figures. The market is predicted to grow by 11.5% this year and by a further 2.7% in 2018. However, a decrease of 0.2% is expected for 2019. By region, China saw the biggest improvement, with 30% growth YoY, followed by the Americas with 27%. Global revenue is forecast to reach $377.8 billion this year.
