Vodafone has announced that it is working with global high street fashion retailer Mango on a new programme to roll out digital fitting rooms to the company’s top stores worldwide. The digital fitting room has been built around a new IoT digital mirror designed by Mango, and developed by Vodafone in collaboration with Jogotech, which will allow the shopper to scan clothes tags in the fitting room, by barcode or RFID, and then contact shop floor staff directly from the mirror, through a digital watch, to request different sizes or colours. The mirror will also suggest additional clothes to complement the original choice.
Mango’s aim is to extend the digital fitting room to its top stores, from Barcelona to New York and will help to blend online and real-world shopping experiences for its customers. This is the first phase of the company’s digital transformation project to create new ways for customers to engage and relate to the brand.

We tried to dig out more on this project, but hadn’t had much luck by press time. Vodafone may have something at MWC next week. (BR)
