Vivitek’s new DLP home theatre projectors are the H1186 and H1188, with a six segment colour wheel and ISF calibration. The products are very similar, although the H1188 features Vividmotion technology. Vividmotion smooths images during fast pan movements, helping to eliminate judder.
Both models have vertical lens shift (120% – 148%), for greater installation flexibility. They also feature a top-loading lamp cover, Crestron Roomview compatibility and integrated closed caption decoding.
Resolution is 1920 x 1080, with a 240W (H1186)/260W (H1188) lamp (lasting up to 5,000/4,000 hours, respectively) providing 2,000 lumens of brightness. Contrast ratio is 50,000:1.
The projectors can throw a 26″ – 325″ image from 1.2m – 10m away (1.39 – 2.09:1 throw ratio). They have a 1.5x zoom and 130% image offset, as well as +/-40° vertical keystone correction and 10W speakers.
HDMI, MHL-HDMI, VGA, component, composite, S-Video, USB-B and RJ45 ports are featured. Both models measure 285 x 261 x 122mm and weigh 3.2kg. They will be available for €1,085, from April (H1188) or for €835, from May (H1186), ex VAT.
