ViewSonic Shows Prototype in Cologne

ViewSonic will show off a prototype of a new curved monitor at Gamescom in Cologne this month. Seen for the first time in Europe (after previously being shown at trade shows in the USA and China), the XG3401 (name is not final) will support AMD’s Freesync technology.

Resolution of the IPS panel is 3440 x 1440. The monitor features DisplayPort, HDMI (supporting UltraHD at 60fps), MHL-HDMI and USB 3.0 (x4) ports. Portable Bluetooth speakers are also bundled with the unit.

The XG3401 also includes a flicker-free backlight, via DC modulation, and low-blue-light mode.
