ViewSonic’s new VP2468 monitor features edge-to-edge glass, high colour accuracy and thin bezels to support its use in multi-monitor set-ups.
The 23.8″ display features five gamma settings (1.8 – 2.6), plus hue and saturation fine tuning. It is factory calibrated to a Delta E <2, and has modes covering sRGB (99%), EBU (98.3%), SMPTE-C (100%), Rec.709 (100%) and DICOM Simulation colour spaces. ViewSonic has built a colour uniformity function in to ensure consistency across the screen, as well as a 14-bit 3D LUT. Colours can be adjusted using a six-axis colour enhancement tool (RGBCMY).
A low-blue-light mode and flicker-free technology are featured on the monitor. It can also tilt (-5° to 21°), swivel (120°), pivot (90°) and raise/lower (130mm). A sensor enables the monitor to detect whether it is landscape or portrait and rotate contents accordingly.
Display resolution is 1920 x 1080. An IPS panel supplies 178° viewing angles, a 1,000:1 contrast ratio and 14ms (G2G) response time. It will show 8-bit colour. Brightness is 250 cd/m².
DisplayPort 1.2, Mini-DisplayPort 1.2, HDMI (x2) and USB 3.0 (x4) ports are featured, with one DisplayPort doubling as an output.
ViewSonic is selling the VP2468 now, for $325.
