ViewSonic’s Pen Tech Eases eSignatures

The PD1611 is a 15.6″ pen display from ViewSonic, aiming to support eSignatures, note-taking and drawings on the A4-sized screen.

ViewSonic uses Electromagnetic Resonance Pen technology on the touch screen, supporting 2,048 levels of sensitivity; 5,080 line-per-inch density; and up to 10mm pen hover capability. The pen is battery-free and accurate to within 0.5mm. The cover glass of the product has a hardness of 8H, with anti-glare, -scratch- and -fingerprint features.

The display has 1366 x 768 resolution. Viewing angles are 130°/90°, contrast ratio is 1,000:1 and brightness is 250 cd/m². A single USB 2.0 ports provides power and data signals.

ViewSonic will start selling the display in select markets soon. It will not be sold in Europe.
