Vestel Lands Massive Supply Deal with New Turkish Airport

vestelVestel has secured a substantial deal to supply electronic flight information displays to Turkey’s new airport.

3150 units have been ordered, a combination of 49″ and 55″ screens, capable of Full HD resolution and a brightness level of 700 cd/m², as well as a lifespan of 100,000 hours. They can be oriented in portrait or landscape modes, making them flexible in terms of placement.

Covering 7,659 hectares, Turkey’s new airport will be the largest in the world when it opens, which could be as early as October 2018, and will reportedly service as many as 350 destinations.
