V Nova

V-Nova Ltd., a leading provider of video compression solutions, today announced that it has partnered with Arttek, a leading Turkish distributor, in a move that extends the company’s footprint in Turkey and expands its existing distribution network.

Arttek in Turkey constitutes the latest addition to the V-Nova Partner programme, and will act as an official reseller of V-Nova PERSEUS in Turkey. The V-Nova Partner Programme combines the ground-breaking V-Nova PERSEUS Software & Solutions with the expertise and geographical proximity of local market leaders. Benefits to regional broadcasters, content and rights owners and TV service providers include better access to products and people, as well as a reduction in risk and overall improved customer experience.

This strategic partnership enables local pay-TV operators, broadcasters and mobile service providers to deploy and utilise V-Nova’s technology for contribution and distribution in a number of applications. Working with a leading regional distributor also paves the way for V-Nova developments in high growth areas, including Virtual Reality (VR) and 360-video, Ultra HD and High Dynamic Range (HDR) and mobile video services.

Collaborating with V-Nova allows Arttek to address a number of the challenges faced by the Turkish TV & Media market. Commenting on the partnership, K?vanç I??k, CEO at Arttek said: “At Arttek, we pride ourselves on offering the most advanced technologies to our customers. We see strong potential in the revolutionary V-Nova PERSEUS portfolio and are very excited to see where this partnership takes us in the future – particularly in potential new vertical markets.”

V-Nova PERSEUS is a video processing technology that addresses today’s video delivery challenges, closing the capacity gap for quality delivery to connected devices over existing networks. V-Nova PERSEUS redraws the traditional bitrate-quality curve, enabling operators and service providers to provide high quality video (i.e., both linear and non-linear) within their bandwidth constraints: UHD at HD bitrates on large screen TVs, HD at SD bitrates on legacy set-top-boxes and mobile devices, and SD at sub-audio bitrates over bandwidth-constrained mobile networks.

Guido Meardi, V-Nova CEO & Co-Founder, added: “Our Partner programme ensures that we can reach our customers and industry peers around the world as we grow. This partnership with Arttek highlights the great progress we have made in recent months in driving momentum across Europe and the near East. Working with Arttek provides us with the support needed to really extend our business, allowing the entire TV & Media industry to deploy and utilise V-Nova PERSEUS, wherever they are based. 2016 has enabled us to focus on developing the most valuable areas of our business, and this strategic collaboration is the next step in our international expansion.”
