US Sees Rise in Non-pay-TV Users

With more methods of watching TV entering the market, the share of broadband households in the US which have pay-TV has dropped according to analyst TDG, reported by Advanced Television. In 2011, 9% (just under 8 million) did not subscribe. This figure rose to 22% (22 million) in 2016, with broadband TV providing a substitute for many leaving pay-TV services.
