Universal Electronics Sees Lower Q3 Profits

Universal Electronics Inc. saw Q3 net profits of $1.7 million, down from $7.8 million a year earlier, on revenue which rose to $175.7 million from $169.32 million. For the nine months profits fell to $6.5 million from $17.1 million on turnover which rose to $514.6 million from $490.8 million. The company said that shipments to its broadcasting customers were softer than usual, but that it expects this to change in Q4.
