Universal Display’s $15 million investment in PPG’s Barberton, Ohio facility is complete, the two companies have announced.
The investment will double the commercial production capacity of Universal Display’s UniversalPHOLED emitters and will create 20 new jobs at the factory. PPG is the exclusive manufacturer of UniversalPHOLED, which is used in high-end displays and solid-state lighting.
The upgraded production capacity will help to meet the needs of manufacturers around the world, with more and more device-makers adopting high-performance OLED panels for their smartphones, tablets and TVs.
