Absen has announced its recent collaboration with Trans-Lux Corporation as LED solution partner on the Prudential Center, home of the NHL’s New Jersey Devils. Claiming to be the world’s largest centre-hung LED scoreboard, it weighs 44.2 tons and contains 29 million pixels.
Recently unveiled for the Devils’ opening game in early October, the nearly-four stories tall scoreboard covers 2921.5m². In addition to the scoreboard, Absen and Trans-Lux also worked together in designing a custom solution for the 10mm LED ribbons circling the arena.
