A new notebook under Toshiba’s Kira brand has been launched in Europe. The 13.3″ Kira-102 is officially an ultrabook, designed for travellers who do not want to compromise on performance. It features 2560 x 1440 resolution (with an upscaler) and 176 deg viewing angles. The display’s colour is factory calibrated. Windows 8.1 is pre-installed, and the Kira supports 10-point touch. It uses Corning’s Concore glass. The OS runs an Intel Haswell Corwe i7 CPU (2GHz). Storage is provided through a 256GB SSD. The Kira-102 is available now, for £1,085 ($1,800) ex VAT.
