Toronto Transport Commission Spending Over $900,000 on Bus Info Displays

Toronto’s Transit Commission (TTC) has announced it will install a pair of 29″ ceiling mounted passenger information displays in each of its 525 buses over the next two years, at a cost of $918,750. TTC has confirmed that the screens will not be used for third-party advertising.

In an interview with Daily Hive, TTC spokesperson Stuart Green commented, “They will eventually include things like route, next stop announcement, confirmation of stop request, customer announcements, service alerts — information we have found is most valued by customers based on our research”.
