Chinese display manufacturer Tianma may be selling off its OLED business to CEC Panda, after experiencing losses in the sector last year, according to ET News.
The company’s 6G LTPS AMOLED fab in Wuhan, China commenced operations in April 2017, producing both rigid and flexible panels. However, at the time of writing, neither production line has reached full capacity — the company produced 1.3 million rigid OLED panels in 2017. According to the publication’s sources, the company’s LCD business is also experiencing a downturn, attributed to declining prices.
