Texas Instruments reported revenue of $3.75 billion and net income of $344 million in Q4 of 2017. This compares to revenue of $3.41 billion and net income of $1.05 billion reported in Q4 of 2016. Net income was affected by tax-related expenses primarily due to the recently passed tax reform act. TI said that its core businesses showed double-digit revenue growth, analogue revenue grew 11% and embedded processing grew 20% from the same quarter a year ago. Revenue in the “Other segment”, which includes DLP, custom chips and calculators was down by $61 million and operating profit declined $60 million from $128 million to $68 million.

For the full year 2017, revenue was $14.96 billion ($13.37 billion in 2016) and net income was $3.68 billion ($3.6 billion in 2016) .
