The LED Studio Announces Solar Powered Display

The LED Studio, a digital signage firm, has announced a solar powered display with a focus on DOOH use cases, called the Aegis Pro, unveiled with manufacturing partner VOD Visual, according to a press release.

Measuring 130-inches, the narrow pitch display is designed to be fully waterproof, with a top-mounted solar panel featuring battery pack capacity of 20AH.

Designed for conditions with six hours or more of sunlight per day, the battery pack can be charged in 2.5 hours, and the display is designed for out-of-the-box installation and activation, including compatibility with integrated CMS or various mainstream CMS brands, including Scala and Brightsign.

“Sustainability is inherent in everything we do,” Rob Bint, CEO at The LED Studio, said in the release. “The demand for green technology and digital signage solutions has risen astronomically and with the rising cost of energy, efficiency and total cost of ownership are more important than ever. All our new products feature energy-efficient design and manufacturing processes, compact shipping, logistical solutions, smart operations or futureproofing to reduce waste by reusing as many components as possible.”
