TDK has a new haptic actuator/sensor that can both offer haptic experiences and can also be used to get feedback from the touch. There three different sizes of actuator for different levels of force. Actuating voltages need to be up to 120V, but the company has a new drive schema, developed by Boréas Technologies which is claimed to make this easier to implement and reduce power consumption.
