Tablet Shipments Expected to Drop Globally in Q1

In Q1 2017, global unit tablet shipments will fall under 40 million for the first time in almost five years, according to Digitimes Research. Shipments are expected to be 39.3 million. Q1 is usually the low season and the drop is not as dramatic as that seen in Q1 2016. Despite this decrease, during the current quarter new products are expected from Apple, Samsung and Microsoft.
