Tablet processor chip sales fell 6% YoY in Q1’15, says Strategy Analytics. The market is worth only 1/7 of the smartphone processor market, at $733 million – a 6% decline in value. Apple (28%), Qualcomm (19%), Intel (16%), Mediatek and Samsung were the top application processor vendors by revenue share. Strategy Analytics found that Android-based tablets represented more than 70% of Intel’s total tablet processor shipments during the quarter.
