T-Mobile has acquired start-up cable company Layer3 TV, and announced plans to launch its own TV service in the US in 2018.
Layer3, founded in 2013, is headquartered in Denver, Colorado, and currently available in five US cities. It counts Fox, Disney, ESPN, CBS, Discovery, Showtime and HBO among its distribution partners.
