Qualcomm has shown a reference handset that demonstrates the capabilities of the Snapdragon 810 SoC.
The ‘Qualcomm Mobile Development Platform Smartphone’ has a 6.17″ display with 2560 x 1600 resolution. 4GB of DDR4 RAM are fitted inside, along with a 3,020mAh battery and Quickcharge 2.0 technology. The rear camera is a 13MP unit with optical image stabilisation that can shoot 1920 x 1080 content at 120fps, or UltraHD at 30fps. A micro-HDMI port supports UltraHD output, and USB 3.0 is also featured.
Qualcomm’s device is simply a reference, not a finished product, although upcoming flagships from both Sony and LG are expected to use the Snapdragon 810.
