Qualcomm’s newest mobile processor is aimed squarely at Mediatek’s core business: value devices. The Snapdragon 210 is Qualcomm’s first 4G chip for entry-level smartphones and tablets; it also supports 3G, LTE Broadcast, LTE Dual SIM and HEVC.
At the same time as the announcement, Qualcomm said that it will begin to offer tablet reference designs based on its Snapdragon 410 and 210 processors.
The Snapdragon 210 processor and reference design are expected to be available in/as commercial devices in the first half of 2015.
