SmartLabs will provide Innovative Systems with its SML-5112W Ultra HD set-top-box with Reference Design Kit (RDK) support.
The Innovative Systems-branded STBs will focus on high-quality wireless video delivery. The device features a 4×4 802.11ac wireless module, with support for both client and access point functionality and delivery of unicast and multicast video.
The STB will also incorporate Innovative Systems’ APMAX IPTV Middleware.
The two companies have worked closely together on the device, which has been designed to “address the evolving needs of the US service provider market”.
