The four Taiwanese panel suppliers that we track saw a disappointing result last month with overall shipments of 91.458 million small and medium panels, down 20.6% MoM and 17.8% YoY.
AU Optronics saw its August turnover rise 7.8% MoM to NT$27.81 billion ($903 million), although this was down 7.8% YoY. The company shipped 13.95 million small and medium panels, a fall of 10.2% MoM and 8.1% YoY.
Chunghwa Picture Tubes posted August turnover of NT$2.25 billion ($73 million), an increase of 0.2% MoM but dropping 29% YoY. CPT’s small and medium panel shipments were 17.11 million, dropping 31.5% MoM and 38.6% YoY.
Hannstar Display reported sales for the month of NT1.33 billion ($43 million), down 18.3% MoM and 45% YoY. Its small and medium panel shipments fell 24.8% MoM and 15.7% YoY to 35.578 million.
Innolux recorded monthly revenue of NT$24.4 billion ($792 million), seeing decreases of 3.1% MoM and 10.5% YoY. 24.82 million small and medium panels were shipped, down 9.5% MoM and 4.8% YoY.
