Sky announced its FY17 result with annual revenues at £12.9 billion ($17.0 billion) with 8.5% growth on a yearly basis. The company claimed to have won 686,000 new customers (including in Germany and Italy) in 2017 which takes its subscriber total to 22.5 million.
ARPU for the UK was flat at $62 while ARPU for Germany/Austria fell from €35 to €34. However, the churn is up with the UK at 11.5% compared to 11.2% in 2016. The churn in Germany/Austria is up significantly at 12.6% compared to 9.9% in 2016.
