Singapore Uses Colour ePaper

LEDs illuminate the signs at nightSingapore has become the latest city to use electronic paper displays from Visionect. Eleven bus stops across the city now feature 32″ colour ePaper displays. Power is supplied from solar cells and updates are pushed from a central location over a cellular network. This work is a pilot, but Singapore’s Land Transport Authority (LTA) is aiming to renew the display boards at 85 bus stops in the near future and up to 200 in the coming years.
