Shiftwear is a new type of footwear – one which gives full design control to the owner. Funded on Indiegogo in December, the shoes feature a flexible screen based on a plastic substrate, capable of showing full motion video – at least in the concept – and colour. The implication is that it is OLED technology (and the $400 price supports that!), although the company also says that static images will consume no power: a traditional strength of E Ink and similar display types.
