Asian sources, apparently quoting Japan’s Nikkei newspaper, have said that Sharp will cut the prices of the smartphone panels it sells to China’s Xiaomi, to maintain orders. The Nikkei said that prices would be cut by between 20% and 30% this year. Xiaomi has been looking to new vendors for its orders lately, including Japan Display.
