Satellite operator SES S.A. recorded Q3 net profits of €108.8 million ($126.6 million), down from €628.2 million ($730.9 million) in the year-ago quarter, on turnover which fell to €478.5 million ($556.7 million) from €533.3 million ($620.5 million). For the first nine months there were profits of €346.2 million ($402.8 million), compared with €970.2 million ($1.13 billion), on revenue of €1.53 billion ($1.78 billion), up from €1.49 billion ($1.73 billion). The firm said that it was continuing to make steady progress.
(The profit in 2016 was enhanced by a one-off gain from the consolidation of O4b. Without this, 2016 YTD profits were €328.8 million.)
