Travel company Flight Centre Australia, wanted to enhance the “in-store experience”, and worked with TechMedia and Scala to find a digital signage solution, which needed to be robust, easy to use, scalable and able to be implemented in 2500 stores worldwide with a variety of screens from videowalls to 84″ 4K screens. In addition, the system had to be capable of incorporating third-party data and of being adapted to suit local requirements. It is currently in more than 300 stores with 700 screens. The marketing analysis has shown an 89% increase in views and a 52% increase in attention time compared with paper signs.

Following the success of the programme, the company now plans to deploy the network across the country to over 600 Flight Centre sites, with a view to extending this internationally. The firm has 2,800 store globally.
