Several companies have received International CES Innovation Awards. Acer and ZTE were named for the Aspire R 13 Series of convertible notebooks and ZTE’s mobile hotspot projector, while Dell took a ‘Best of’ award for its Venue 8 7000 Series. Vuzix won four awards, for the V-720 Mobile Gaming Platform in the Computer Accessories, Gaming Hardware and Accessories, Wireless Handset Accessories and Headphones categories. LG took 10 awards in four categories: Home Appliances, Computer Peripherals, Video Displays and Wireless Handsets. Among the winners were LG’s 77″ curved, flexible UltraHD OLED TV and the G3 smartphone. Samsung went significantly further, with 36 awards (12 more than last year) in 10 categories, including TV, Monitor, Mobile, Tablet and Digital Imaging. Among the winners were the Note Edge (also named Best Wireless Handset), Note 4, S5, Tab 10 S, Gear S and Gear VR products, as well as the Youm bent display.
